SEVENTEEN’s Seungkwan and Dino began military service on October 26, 2026. Both will serve in the Army’s military band after basic training, according to PLEDIS Entertainment, as reported by The Korea Herald.

When did Seungkwan and Dino enlist?
Their enlistment date was Monday, October 26. The Korea Herald’s report that morning said the two members were beginning service that day. They are the last two SEVENTEEN members required to enlist, according to the same report.

What changes for SEVENTEEN during their service?
PLEDIS’s military-service notice says Seungkwan and Dino cannot participate in SEVENTEEN’s schedules after their service begins. The announcement also covers Mingyu, whose service started on a different date. The three members’ absences therefore should not be read as one simultaneous enlistment.
Fans can still expect content prepared in advance. PLEDIS said that material would continue to reach CARATs while the members serve. A newly released video featuring Seungkwan or Dino therefore does not, by itself, indicate a return to live group activities.

Are Seungkwan and Dino leaving SEVENTEEN?
The enlistment announcement does not announce either member’s departure. In a separate contract-renewal notice, PLEDIS said all 13 members had agreed to a second renewal. It specified that the process was complete for members outside military service, while those already serving would complete it according to their service circumstances. That distinction matters: agreement by all 13 is not the same as every signature already being completed.
PLEDIS also said it would continue supporting group, unit and individual activities and prepare for the resumption of full-group activities after military service. That statement describes the group’s intended future; it does not establish a dated comeback schedule.
When will Seungkwan and Dino return?
The military notice reviewed for this article does not give an official discharge date. It confirms their starting date and assignment, but readers looking for a specific return day should treat a calculated estimate separately from an agency announcement.
A discharge date and a stage comeback date are also different milestones. The renewal notice looks ahead to all 13 members performing together again, without specifying when that will happen. An exact full-group return date cannot be established from these announcements.
How can CARATs support them?
PLEDIS asked fans not to visit the training-center entrance ceremony, where other recruits and families would be present. It recommended leaving farewell and encouragement messages on Weverse. Following the official notice page is the most direct way to check any later scheduling announcement.
