Jang Wonyoung acknowledged A2O LITE’s Rada with a small nod and applause, according to Korean reports about their M Countdown interaction. Newsis’s account explicitly includes the nod, a detail missing from claims that Wonyoung did not return the greeting.
The moment dates to October 22, 2026. If you are encountering the clip on October 26, it comes from that earlier broadcast.
1. When did Wonyoung and Rada’s greeting happen?
A2O LITE won Mnet’s M Countdown with “NEON” on October 22. Rada was standing beside Wonyoung during the winner announcement and bowed toward her.
According to Sports Kyunghyang’s October 23 report, this was episode 950, and A2O LITE and NCT WISH were the nominees. IVE also appeared on the broadcast to perform “Looks Can Kill.” That shared stage explains why the two artists were together.
2. Did Wonyoung return Rada’s greeting?
Xportsnews describes Wonyoung making eye contact with Rada, lightly lowering her head in response and then applauding. Newsis also reports a nod while looking toward Rada.
Those accounts support describing an acknowledgment. A smaller head movement than the other person’s bow does not, by itself, establish that someone intended to ignore them. The reporting concerns a brief public interaction; it does not reveal either artist’s private thoughts.

3. Why do the reposted images tell different stories?
The Threads post presents the exchange with contrasting Korean captions. One frames Wonyoung’s expression as indifferent; another says she acknowledged Rada through eye contact and questions criticism over the depth of her bow.
The wider image and close-up below show essentially the same moment. Neither still can establish the full nod-and-applause sequence. Their captions show how the same scene can be framed differently before a viewer watches the movement.

4. How did people respond?
Sports Kyunghyang reported both criticism and pushback. It also reported that the Rada fan account which shared the exchange asked people to stop directing hate at either artist. That response is relevant because support for one performer need not involve attacking the other.
The Threads discussion reviewed also contains differing reactions. Those comments are individual responses, not a poll of Korean fans, and they cannot establish what most viewers thought.
5. Where can you watch the official encore?
M2’s official October 22 A2O LITE encore video is available on YouTube. Its title identifies the show and date, making it a useful reference alongside the shorter repost.
